As a child, Rick Griffin frequently played out elaborate stories with stuffed animals and became weird in the head due to it and associated traumas. Therefore he decided that when he grew up, he would tell stories for a living and also become a real live dragon, or perhaps a kangaroo. Naturally, everyone shook their head at the young boy’s naivete, since as adults they knew that it was impossible… to write stories as one’s sole career. They calmly explained that maybe he should get a day job as well. The whole “day job” thing didn’t pan out.

Introducing our Guest of Honor for Tails and Tornadoes 2025: Frouzon with Thread’s Workshop!
Em, commonly known by his online alias Frouzon, is a 25 y/o trans furry artist that has been active in the fandom since the early 2010’s creating fursuits and digital art! With a total of 15 years of suit-making experience, he decided to open Thread’s Workshop in 2019 to unify his fursuit creations!
Pulling from all matter of interests to elevate his suit work, Em strives to create fursuits that highlight the unique allure of any animal- big, small, or even fantastical! His attention to small details breathe life into his creations and he enjoys making strange and uncommon animals into suits the most!

Astra
Astra is a half-housecat, half-snow leopard content creator known for capturing quick and entertaining interviews with furries at conventions all over the country. After being unexpectedly introduced to the fandom during Megaplex 2022, Astra fell in love with the fandom and has never looked back. Outside of the furry scene, they work in cybersecurity, dabble as a private bartender, and indulge in hobbies like traveling, exploring new cuisines, and visiting theme parks!
